The safest oil for skin
Reviewed
Skin Type: combination Skin
Skin Concerns: Acne, Large Pores, Sensitive Skin, Uneven Skin Tone, Whiteheads/Closed Comedones

I was really skeptic about using oils on my face for a long time, the only use I had for them was as a first step in cleansing and taking down my makeup. The reason for my skepticism wasn't the thought that it will make my acne prone skin worse, but the knowledge that oils are mostly polyunsaturated which means that they oxidize on the skin, aging it prematurely in the long run, thing I want to avoid, even if I don't really have to concern myself with wrinkles for now.
But after a bit of research I found out that Squalane is 100% saturated oil, making it safe and stable to use on the skin, so I started using the 100% Plant-Derived Squalane from The Ordinary. Since I brought it, it is the only moisturizer I use in my night time routine (during the day I put a SPF moisturizer on top) and I am really happy about it. My skin doesn't react badly to it, on the contrary, I feel it is less irritated and the oil production on my T zone is controlled and the little breakouts I had lately became even less rare. Apparently squalane also offers protection against oxidative damage, protecting the skin from damage from the sun and from free radicals and it also helps fade the dark pigment that accumulates due to sun exposure.
