This fruity smelling exfolient contains potent ingredients that are not suitable for sensitive skin.
Although my skin is only slightly reactive, this product was terrible for my skin. I assume the bad reaction was due to the harsh ingredients such as retinol, lactic acid as well as salicylic acid. After massaging in small circles on my face for a minute or two the exfolient started to heat up as advertised which was strange and rather gimmicky. When I washed off the product my skin was bright red and stinging slightly. I was not alarmed until two hours later when my skin was still red and irritated. On the Dermalogica website there is fine print that warns against the use of this product on irritated, sensitive skin so I fear that the fault is mine in buying the product.
I rated this product 1 star because aside from it being highly irritating my skin did not feel renewed and the blackheads on my nose were no better after using this product. My skin felt slightly dryer and a few days later I did get a few breakouts along my forehead.
