Rating Breakdown

Since Vitamin C degrades quickly when exposed to oxygen, this formulation has suspended it in dimethicone, which keeps it from oxidizing quickly. That being said, the dimethicone makes the consistency unique, and its application must be thoughtful when layering other products.
I am a guy (and don't wear makeup), so I do not have to worry about how it interacts with it like a few reviewers have noted. I find it best applies when my skin is slightly moisturized, so prior to application I have used The Ordinary's 100% Argan Oil or BYBI's Bakuchiol Booster (Squalane & Bakuchiol), waited a few minutes, and then applied ths Vitamin C Suspension. I'll wait a few more minutes and then apply my sunscreen.
Initially, it stung when I used it; and I had to work my way from twice a week to daily. I give myself a break on weekends.
I have been using this for several months now and am on my second tube. It's most visible effect has been on PIH, it usually takes months for my PIH from breakouts to disappear, but adding this Vitamin C Suspension has increased the speed at which the redness fades down considerably. Since adding to my routine, my skin looks brighter and smoother.
I would recommend for anyone looking for a strong, shelf-stable Vitamin C to add to their routine. While I have fairly sensitive skin, and was able to work my way up to daily use, this may not be suitable for extremely sensitive skin.
II hate this. Its texture annoyed me a lot. When I wear it, I feel like there is a layer on my skin. Can't add any skincare before using this as i feel like it break down all the other skincare effect. So I stopped using this. I don't see any improve effect on my skin.
I wanted to like this since the ingredients are great and it's a stable vitamin C, but for daily use this is extremely annoying to use. It likes to pill up when applying, it's very thick and leaves a layer on the skin. It is also irritating if you don't have anything else on your skin or if you don't mix it with other things first.
On my quest for a stable vitamin C product that wouldn't worsen my fungal acne, I settled on this product. In the beginning, it did sting a bit, especially as I am using it in the mornings after my glycolic acid (8%), but that stopped after a few days, and I've been using it consistently for two months at least.
I've seen a visible brightening, and old zit marks disappearing faster, and in combination with helping the effectiveness of sunscreen and acting as an antioxidant, I think it's well worth it at the relatively low price.
The difficulty lies in finding the right spot for it in a routine. Due to the product being basically pure silicone, it will cause pilling with many products. For example, when my skin feels especially dry, I will apply Cerave in a tub in the mornings, too, while I usually only use it in the evenings. Together with this product - disaster. Trying to apply make up over that combination? Forget it. Any product that acts ans an occlusive itself will, in my experience, not go well with this suspension.
It's also easy to use too much of it: pea size will do, and carefully dotting it over the face and smoothing it over slightly moist skin will help. As the layer of silicone isn't penetrated by most products, I think it should go on last before sunscreen, and a moisturizing product be used underneath.
I really wanted to love this product however I just can't the silicone makes it feel nice but it stings everytime I use it even when mixing it in with the Ordinary's NMF and to top it off it's given me bumps all over my face after finally clearing all acne
